Our vision
Music. Understood.
Every recording should be findable by the IDs that actually matter — ISRC, ISWC, UPC — with lyrics only when we have a license to show them. Lyrixis is a living catalog, not a lyric dump and not a brochure.
What the site does
- Search recordings by title, artist, writer, year, ISRC, ISWC, or UPC.
- Open a recording to see metadata and lyrics when they are public-domain or original.
- Add one song or bulk-ingest a CSV — commercial copyrighted lyrics are rejected.
- Keep identifiers normalized so the same ISRC does not land twice.
Who uses it
- Labels and distributors matching messy tags to canonical recordings.
- Publishers and writers checking works (ISWC) against recordings (ISRC).
- Karaoke and sync teams who need licensed, timed lyrics — not scraped pages.
- Artists adding original work, and catalog ops ingesting public-domain songs.
FAQ
Questions
What is Lyrixis?
A music catalog: search recordings, read metadata, and view lyrics that we are allowed to show. Records live in Supabase.
Can I paste commercial song lyrics?
No. Ingest only accepts public-domain or original lyrics. Licensed commercial lyrics need a rights path first.
What are ISRC, ISWC, and UPC?
ISRC identifies a recording (the sound). ISWC identifies the composition (the work). UPC/EAN identifies a release. Search prefers those IDs over messy titles.
How do I add a song?
Use Add for one recording, or paste a CSV on the same page. Every row needs license public_domain or original. Metadata-only rows need an ISRC, ISWC, or UPC.
Is search free?
The public catalog on this site is free to search. Paid unlock is only for the separate upload/transcription product, in test mode.
Why is the background karaoke?
That is the product mood — people singing — kept washed out so you can still read the catalog.
